Michael Our old tube TV had to go, and since a sticker on our trash can mentioned the free service Recycle my junk, I called them. The friendly lady on the other end of the line confirmed that she would be happy to pick up my old TV set, and we arranged an appointment for the following week, as that was the first available appointment.
The disposal lady instructed me to place the tube monster on the sidewalk in front of the house on the designated day, and to attach a note with "RMJ" written in large letters. I cautiously asked what that meant, and she explained to me that it stood for "Recycle my junk." We had such a laugh! On the pickup day, we happened to be going on vacation and had to leave early in the morning for the airport, but we simply put the box down on the sidewalk the night before and attached the note. When we came back a week later, the box was gone. America is catching up in terms of waste management!
