Michael House cleaning is notoriously exhausting, and any relief provided by high-tech tools you can sign me up for. This is especially true during bathroom cleaning, while wiping countless nooks and crannies, where the so-called "Smart Mop" from a TV commercial is unbeatable.
Professional cleaning crews do wring out mops using bucket presses, at least that's how it was during a previous career, back when I used to polish the floors at the MAN company in Augsburg during my school days to earn some extra money. However, such equipment is obviously out of the question due to lack of space in our apartment, so one day, on a whim, I bought the mop at Target.
Although I haven't yet mastered the art of swinging a mop as elegantly as pitchman Anthony Sullivan (Rundbrief 05/2009) cleaning the bathroom is notably quicker. Allegedly, you can simply put the dirty mop head in the washing machine for cleaning. The only downside: Even when wrung out, it takes forever for the mop strands to be completely dry. Nevertheless, I'm calling it a Rundbrief Top Product!
