Top product: Apple Slicer

Figure [1]: A peeled apple ...

Michael I like to eat a few apple slices now and then, but unfortunately, I'm usually too lazy to cut up whole apples. Recently, I was browsing in the kitchen appliances section of the Target supermarket and found the apple slicer from the company Kitchenaid. A great device that slices apples like a charm! Of course, like almost all kitchen utensils and tools in the USA these days, it's made in China, but the quality is impressive, and it's also dishwasher safe.

Figure [2]: ... the apple carver elegantly cuts it into eight equal slices!

First, you peel the apple with a peeler, then turn it so that the blossom (not the stem) is facing up, place the slicer on top, press down, and - voila! - you have eight equal slices. I think I've already peeled at least 20 apples with it, and the core has always been cleanly removed! Angelika claims that something like this also exists in Germany, but hey, it's still my top product of the month. By the way, Costco offers the corresponding apples, and the Fuji apples with the organic stamp taste excellent.
